A homage to all the ladies from the 1970s to the first decade of the new millennium who were sophisticated enough to button up a long leather coat over an elegant outfit and strut their stuff. Sleek leather coats disappeared from mainstream fashion for a while, but their popularity may be on the rise once more. This page is dedicated to those who hope that such classic style finds its way back into women's wardrobes again someday.
These days you never know if the coat or jacket is made of real leather or not. Even if it is genuine leather it is often tanned in such a way that it is difficult to tell because it is made to look rather artificial I think. The jacket and bag on the bottom right are entirely synthetic "vegan leather". I confess that I don't understand the paradox of being vegan, but wanting to wear clothing that looks like leather. Seems confusing to me.
