A homage to all the ladies from the 1970s to the first decade of the new millennium who were sophisticated enough to button up a long leather coat over an elegant outfit and strut their stuff. Sleek leather coats disappeared from mainstream fashion for a while, but their popularity may be on the rise once more. This page is dedicated to those who hope that such classic style finds its way back into women's wardrobes again someday.
I've been watching the same coat from West Coast Leather... Although I believe they claimed to be the "spiritual successor" of the defunct North Beach Leather, they just don't possess that glamour that NBL had... Still, good to see them still making these long coats. I even contacted them once, they said they could customize a coat for my goddess for $2k, and said they could use the "squeaky" type of lambskin to make it. At the end, I still bought the Magda Butrym coat for her... Maybe I should customize a coat for my lady one day!
Well, the Magda Butrym coat was great, but never the "squeaky" type. I don't think newer leather coats from mainstream brands make squeaky coats anymore. I guess they regard the "squeak" as no-good.
