A homage to all the ladies from the 1970s to the first decade of the new millennium who were sophisticated enough to button up a long leather coat over an elegant outfit and strut their stuff. Sleek leather coats disappeared from mainstream fashion for a while, but their popularity may be on the rise once more. This page is dedicated to those who hope that such classic style finds its way back into women's wardrobes again someday.
Well, aside from the "Gotham", I just bought the "Misha" coat from NH for my lady. That one has my favorite double-breasted design with square shoulder and ankle length design. But they don't couple it with leather belts anymore, so I got the FR34 to make it fit tighter. And since they use plonge leather, it probably won't squeak like the 90's coats. At the same time, I am unable to have fondess of those 80's-inspired, round-shoulder coats with epaulettes, because they keep reminding me of Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction... Those never fit tightly.
Today we just received the Misha coat from Nour Hammour. Unlike their previous plonge leather coats, the Misha coat actually has a light waxy finish, and the leathery squeak!
It seems the Nour Hammour coats are stocked in Maryland, so our purchase didn't have come with taxes or custom duty. It only takes three to four days for it to arrive.

ReplyDeleteThey are such awesome coats. So expensive though. I guess you pay for quality though. Dud you import the coat into the UK or US?
