Encore for Miroslava Duma

  

In 2015 Valentino sent this leather coat down the fashion runway.  It looks very nice; one of the closest to a classic long leather coat I've seen in a while with a hood blended into the collar.  As I have previously noted, designer Miroslava Duma was spotted in New York City wearing this coat that winter http://lctdadrms.blogspot.com/2016/04/miroslava-duma-black-leather-trench.html

It seems that this young woman appreciates leather fashion better than most of her peers, and I hope she continues to flourish it as she has done the past couple years.

The modern face of ladies leather fashion

For those who have posted encouraging reminders that leather jackets and coats still appear in ladies fashion; I am aware and this is what it looks like these days.  These first pics are of model Gigi Hadid who can be seen regularly sporting the short leather crop jacket most often and leather pants.

Next we have Sarina Potgieter sporting a wonderfully long and rare black leather coat this past June 2016.  She looks like one in a million for sure.

And there is also Selena Gomez.  She frequently wears one of those leather biker jackets with the long fabric tail that teases you into thinking it is a long leather coat, but, sadly, it is not.

This lady is a fashion designer frequently worn by the Duchess of Cambridge who also dabbles in faux leather.  Her long faux leather coat was one of the few such designs in 2015.

Diesel Leather Jacket 2016

Like it or not this is still the most typical look of a leather jacket to be worn by a stylish young lady these days.  Granted she looks very confident and the color palette is still the same as what many of us fans of leather like.  But, the microscopic little leather jacket with three-quarter length sleeves has replaced the flowing, ankle length leather maxi coat that drives some of us so mad.
