This maxi-length leather coat from Wilson's is frequently for sale on vintage clothing sites these days. That would indicate that it was quite popular when it was being sold in stores back in the late nineties. It causes me a pang of regret that I never witnessed even one of the thousands of beautiful women who wore this coat to the office, out on dates, to the club back then. What gorgeous style the ladies had, and they would never dream of wearing such a coat with sneakers or a hoodie. This coat would have been layered over a dress, or a blouse and skirt, with heels for sure. Those were the days.
A homage to all the ladies from the 1970s to the first decade of the new millennium who were sophisticated enough to button up a long leather coat over an elegant outfit and strut their stuff. Sleek leather coats disappeared from mainstream fashion for a while, but their popularity may be on the rise once more. This page is dedicated to those who hope that such classic style finds its way back into women's wardrobes again someday.

Actually I also bought a few of these online. The four-button model is rather "silent", while the three-button model in good condition will creak dramatically.
