Check out her book titled "The Power of Leather." She obviously understands the appeal of what she is wearing. It is extremely unique to have a conventional taste for leather fashion presented by a woman, and refreshing to see. Check out her podcast https://www.patreon.com/collection/1348989?view=expanded and maybe buy her book.
A homage to all the ladies from the 1970s to the first decade of the new millennium who were sophisticated enough to button up a long leather coat over an elegant outfit and strut their stuff. Sleek leather coats disappeared from mainstream fashion for a while, but their popularity may be on the rise once more. This page is dedicated to those who hope that such classic style finds its way back into women's wardrobes again someday.

The Nour Hammour Gotham worn in the rain... She surely knew how to use her leather.
ReplyDeleteThat’s the beautiful Deni C.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you're faring well, Mr. Cuirbouilli, because I haven't seen any updates for almost a year.
ReplyDeleteRecently I found another great ad campaign that features the British singer Yasmin Hass for Boodles. She wore a leather coat and stood in an aritificial rain. The coat seemed to be a high quality one and she stood in the rain with a great posture. Wish there were more ad campaigns that show us strong ladies in good leather coat and the heavy rain.

This lady cleats knows the importance of leather in a ladies life and the effect it can have on men.
ReplyDeleteAnother celebrity that seems to like wearing leather is Sofia Carson, beautiful lady. She wore a Khaite Martu leather blazer and leather skirt in the 2023 Global Citizen Award in Central Park. It was raining, so I guess that expensive Khaite suit did a good job.

She clearly loves leather
ReplyDeleteOver a year without any content on this blog. A real shame.
ReplyDeleteOne cannot help but agree with the phrase “My clothes represent my values and who I am”. The psychological phrase used to describe how clothes influence the way people act is “ enclothed cognition”. This concept relates to the systematic influence that clothes has on the wearer’s psychological processes including their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. One has to recognise that really does happen. However, one would challenge whether putting on leather changes one’s personality or is it that putting on the leather exemplifies the feeling the person has towards leather. That is, the person’s personality is strong and commanding and the leather wearing coincides with that. Whereas the former indicates that the wearing of leather changes one personality. One tends to think the leather, especially a long leather maxi coat portrays this perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI put my long leather maxi coat on over other layers of leather because one is that personality rather than the leather creating the “enclothed cognition”. As this is a psychological discussion it is very important to know where one’s liking for leather started.
So as not to get to distracted by this psychological concepts we must recognise that wearing leather is a vey individual choice and statement. Wearing a long leather maxi coat is the epitome of style, sophistication and sensibility.
So am I my leather coat or is my leather coat me. I don’t know and don’t care. All one wants to do is wear as much leather as possible. The black long leather maxi coat allows me to do that. PSs me my coat, darling, we are going for a long walk. I will be covered in leather.
