Drinking Killian’s Red with a friend on St. Patrick's Day in 2001, I looked across the bar. There sat a gorgeous girl, a little younger than me. She wore a gleaming black leather coat that went down to her calves. The bar was crowded and warm, but she kept her leather coat buttoned up tight around her slender frame. My buddy thought I was bored with the conversation because I was so distracted by her. Then I looked away for one instant and she was gone!
A homage to all the ladies from the 1970s to the first decade of the new millennium who were sophisticated enough to button up a long leather coat over an elegant outfit and strut their stuff. Sleek leather coats disappeared from mainstream fashion for a while, but their popularity may be on the rise once more. This page is dedicated to those who hope that such classic style finds its way back into women's wardrobes again someday.
